Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s 2nd Annual

Immunotherapy Safety and Efficacy

Overcoming Toxicities and Improving Clinical Outcomes

16 November 2022

The 2nd Annual Immunotherapy Safety & Efficacy conference at PEGS Europe presents a range of emerging modalities, armed with better understanding of the tumour microenvironment and new IO-combination strategies, promise to overcome toxicities and drug resistance, and improve clinical outcomes. Examples include: combinations of checkpoint inhibitors with ADCs, oncolytic vaccines, cytokines and immunocytokines, as well as intratumoural immunotherapies and advances in NK and gamma delta cell-based therapies.

Coverage will include, but is not limited to:

Current Challenges in Immunotherapy

  • Understanding and overcoming resistance to immunotherapies
  • Increasing sensitivity of T cells
  • Protein-protein interactions
  • Targeting solid tumours

Enhancing Anti-Tumour Immune Response and Overcoming Resistance

  • Engineering approaches
  • Impact of tumour microenvironment and co-stimulants
  • Managing cytokine release syndrome
  • Improving immunotherapy specificity and targeting
  • Combination therapies
  • Targeting multiple antigens

Intratumoural Immunotherapy to Boost Immunotherapy

  • Targeting intratumoural T cell retention
  • Engineering intratumoural immune therapeutics

IO Approaches and Combinations:

  • Checkpoint inhibitors
  • Cytokines and immunocytokines
  • ADCs
  • Oncolytic viruses and vaccines
  • Adoptive Cell Therapies – CAR NK, CAR T, gamma delta cells

Advancing NK / Gamma Delta Cell-Based Therapies

  • Shifting from CAR T to CAR NK
  • Gamma delta cells in clinical trials

The deadline for priority consideration is April 8, 2022.

All proposals are subject to review by session chairpersons and/or the Scientific Advisory Committee to ensure the overall quality of the conference program. Additionally, as per Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s policy, a select number of vendors and consultants who provide products and services will be offered opportunities for podium presentation slots based on a variety of Corporate Sponsorships.
